I joke a lot about not liking men and that but I can sort of relate to a lot of the loneliness some of you guys feel. It’s not something that should be turned into anger or entitlement though. We aren’t entitled to anything from the people who don’t know us, or who we don’t know. But there are some things we were entitled to as children that we never received. And men especially, who are told that they can’t express their emotions. Some boys would never have received the attention and love and affection they needed growing up because #weliveinasociety that sees affection and nurturing as something female. So lots of guys grew up without considered attention or affection, and were told boys don’t cry. This can lead to a lot of resentment in later life, and it’s often misdirected towards women in general. Yes, a woman in your life owed you love once and she didn’t give it to you. But not every girl owes this to you. You can find your worth within yourself, you don’t need to seek it out in people around you by force.
