Oh dear, I really should've stopped while I was ahead. After the triumph of svíčková, despite a couple of disappointing earlier experiences with similar desserts, I decided to risk another fruit-dumpling dessert, bramborové švestkové knedlíky (potato dumplings filled with plums, with sugar and poppyseeds). While this one was vastly sweeter than the sugar-free one I'd ordered the night before, and I could even ignore the presence of a plum-pit in one of the dumplings, I had a harder time getting past the fact that the poppyseeds were rancid. :(
