God is Far Away…
Are you feeling God is far away from you or God has forgotten you and left you alone to deal with your problems? Did you know you are not the only one that felt like this? The disciples of Jesus felt the same when they were in the ship and storm struck while Jesus was resting at the back of the ship. His disciples called out to Jesus and they made a statement which probably some of us had said to God few times; “Don’t you care we die”?
Jesus arose and rebuked the storm. Jesus of then is Jesus of now. Trust Him and don’t give up.
”He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves.“
Psalms 107:29 NLT
”And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?“
Mark 4:37-40 KJV
You are not wrong for feeling the way you are feeling as if God is absent because of what you are going through. However, I would like you to know that God is with you all this while even if you don’t feel like that. He knows about what you are going through and He is forever with you.
He says I will not leave you nor forsake you. ”No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.“
Joshua 1:5 NLT
Don’t give up, stay strong and keep calling upon Him just as the disciples did and He will arise and silence the storms you are dealing with now.
“The presence of problems in your life doesn’t mean the absence of God in your life”. Don’t give up and stay strong, “joy comes in the morning” only if you will let God.
May His divine mercy reach out to you this month in Jesus name.
