Rigid heddle weavers unite! DeAnna with @mistywoodsgoats is ready to help you take your adventures to the next level. Now that you have learned to use your rigid heddle loom for the basic tabby weave, it’s time to take it to the next level. In this class we will explore patterns and manipulations to make more intricate designs. We will continue to use a single heddle but will create new looks with the use of pick up sticks.
We will explore as many single heddle patterns as possible during class time and will create samples of each.
DeAnna Amos (Mexico MO) is a fiber artist and longtime spinner, weaver and dyer. She has taught extensively throughout the Midwest and loves to share her experience and knowledge with students of all ages. She makes handwoven garments from a variety of fiber and loves to spin and weave and uses dyes to create one of a kind items. She used her experience with goats and goat milk to make the finest goat milk soap and lotion products, and shared her knowledge of essential oils and product creation with her students.
