Lost in the vibrant hues of El Paredon, Guatemala - a renowned surfing destination boasting a laid back atmosphere, boiling hot sand, breathtaking sunsets, and riptides that sometimes claim the life of daring surfers 🏄♂️
As we checked into our hostel for the first night of our stay, we learned that a surfer also staying at our accommodation died just hours before. Unfortunately, the nearest medical facility and necessary AED defibrillator were an hour away, meaning bystanders fought for an hour to try to bring him back to life using CPR.
