It is hard to tell in the picture but it is sleeting! An unexpected guest this late into spring. May be proper snowflakes later but right now its just sleet. Sleet is sometimes confused with hail, but the two are extremely different. Sleet is a form of snow that is harder and bouncy. Hail is a ball of ice formed by updrafts during severe weather.
