A gentle eye opener about creeks snaking to the sea, disgorging... and sandplain flora.
Not least huge courridjah / pomona or coastal banksias (10-15m tall?) And wattungurree or old man / sawtooth banksias (8m tall?). On pure sand: wow.
Loved finding those. Miraculous survivors, given most of their enveloping flora has long been lost to clearing, timber getting, farming, subdivision and suburbanisation.
