a lot of ‘positivity’ has felt to me like a dangerous and lonely lie, and that denying our pain only makes it worse. in the last few years though that i’ve realized a parallel loss in ignoring the good and whole and peaceful things when trying to honor our grief. we aren’t actually speaking the truth if we say everything is terrible and end our story there. so much is good. so much. so i started making art about it.
