I wasn’t sure I’d ever be a mom. My path to becoming a mom was more challenging than I ever imagined. Not every day is easy, but I’m so grateful for these three and the amazing humans they are growing up to be.
Savannah was pretty distraught that we didn’t make reservations for breakfast early enough to find a table for Mother’s Day brunch, but we decided to stay home and enjoy homemade cinnamon rolls. Beau made me a card and Wyatt wrote a love note on a paper airplane and flew it to me this morning. He slipped up and called me “mom” rather than Holly, but when I made him aware of it, he told me that tomorrow it was be back to Holly. I also got some fresh flowers, but what I really wanted for my Mother’s Day gift was a photo with my tiny trio. We snapped this one this morning, in front of the garden that we built to remember our struggle with infertility and loss. Shortly after, it started to rain and pretty much did the rest of the day. Our plans to chill in the pool were ruined but all in all, it was a pretty great day. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there.
