The entire crew rushed out to the courtyard behind the studios. The spring sunshine was warm and nice. Lada scanned the area in search of Tom and Tory who were lost in the noisy crowd of cheerful teenagers. She felt stifled, the sun beat down her head, heating her thick tangle of hair. Her short stature prevented her from even reaching a clear line of sight above her colleagues' heads, even on tiptoes. She attempted to climb onto a bench to get a better view of a courtyard to find her friends but stumbled. Heading straight for the gravel, she thought about how long the wounds on her knees and elbows would take to heal and how difficult it would be to conceal the injuries for filming. But she never reached the ground. Someone's strong arm caught her. First, he grabbed her waist, then her shoulders, and confidently returned the girl to an upright position.
Lada mechanically brushed the dust off and wanted to thank her savior, but her tongue suddenly stopped cooperating. She was drowning in unreal-colored grey eyes which looked down to her caringly.
