Nagaland Konyak Aoleang Festival Tour 2024
As we immersed ourselves in the misty weather of Chi village where a football tournament was going on, my attention was caught by a group who were welcoming one and all.
A Community House was welcoming all with a leaf packet of rice and pork for the celebration of Aoleang Festival. I stood there watching all with happiness, when they invited me in.
@chitrdiary Ma'am and I sat along the females who were very occupied with serving black tea and rice packet to all. It was then that Awan (in the 1st picture) briefed us about the importance of Aoleang and the community celebration. She was fascinated enough to meet someone from Chhattisgarh☺️
Then we met Chingshei Wangnao @a_sh_ei , a humorous man who shared his deep insights about the cultural values of the Konyaks. We shared laughter, tea, and sticky rice together.
A lovely memory for me from the land of the Konyaks.
