Fun fact: If you are a fan of Jane Austen (like myself), you may recognize this beautiful home and garden from the 1995 film adaptation of “Pride and Prejudice.” In the series, Elizabeth Bennett and her family tour the lavish estate of Mr. Darcy, know as “Pemberley”(Lyme Park). Upon visiting, Elizabeth runs into Mr. Darcy (Colin Firth), after he has emerged from a swim in the lake. This gorgeous lake can be seen in the images above. In addition to the interior courtyard, which served as the backdrop of where Mr. Darcy quickly emerges from the home to address Elizabeth properly.
