If I had known the Boston visit was going to be the last time Catherine travelled overseas for two years, I would have appreciated it more! Despite that, there was one engagement I loved at the time - Catherine’s visit to Harvard University’s Center on the Developing Child. The Harvard Center has worked with the Royal Foundation and the Centre for Early Childhood over the years, providing support with past research on the importance of the early years.
When she arrived, Catherine signed the Harvard Guestbook, which her father-in-law King Charles had signed in 1986. Catherine met members of the Center on the Developing Child’s team and heard about how research and advances in science can help achieve a more promising future for every child. Throughout the visit, Catherine was taking notes.
After the engagement, Catherine decided to do a walkabout. During the walkabout, she said, “Everyone in Boston has been so friendly!”, and posed for selfies.
