Something that I have learned on my journey to health: it's a lifelong journey. There's no place for perfectionism. But there's plenty of room for grace.
Yes, I went on a cruise last week and enjoyed all the food and relaxation. I didn't stress about not working out or eating exception foods. I just was present and made memories with my family. 💞
Now I'm home. I could be angry at myself for not eating perfectly right away or having the motivation to get right back into strength training. But instead I'm remembering that this is the journey of a lifetime. Some days will be hard, but I'm not giving up! I'm giving myself grace and just doing something. Today that looked like eating salad for lunch and going for a beautiful, rejuvenating hike. Tomorrow that may look like picking up some weights.
