He proved to be very good at barking out orders. After that experience he went by the name of Alfie briefly, before being offered an Italian job. Not one to sit in his kennel all day he then went off to a funeral in Berlin. It wasn't long before he was so busy he had no time to paws at all. But no matter how hard he tried, his bark always sounded like something from the Isle of Dogs ... in fact, this is why movie theatres have an aisle between the seats. And it was his dog lead that gave rise to the phrase 'leading man.' Meanwhile, one thing is for certain ... no movie starring Michael Canine has ever been called a dog.
