Glendale Beautiful, in cooperation with the City of Glendale, celebrated Arbor Day at the historic Casa Adobe de San Rafael this morning. A Proclamation was presented to Amador Solis, President of Glendale Beautiful by Mayor Elen Asatryan and Councilmember Dan Brotman.
Glendale has received the Growth Award by the National Arbor Day Foundation for the 15th consecutive year! The Tree City USA Growth Award is given out by the National Arbor Day Foundation to recognize higher levels of tree care by participating Tree City USA communities. The City is also recognized for its 40th year as a Tree City USA Community – an award presented by Loren Klick, Urban Forester, Public Works to Roubik Golanian, City Manager.
