The desert snake moves along the dry topsoil, slithering around the cacti. Its message to me was that this spirit animal is here to help us move with ease. It has special flexibility that allows us to not only go around obstacles, but even remove them as if they didnāt exist. It can blend in, allowing us to go unseen as we travel the underworld or transverse the waking world. The snake, paired with obsidian, can especially help us see things that we are afraid to find out about ourselves, our shadow self. In these cases, you can work with it to shed what no longer serves you and allow yourself to don on a new pair of skin.
