Tres Marias, where I took this photo, has the ideal setup for these extreme close ups. Like another patron once said, this place is more like a bird studio than a bird sanctuary, hah.
To be honest, this is a heavy crop from a much wider image, and for Facebook, I "brought back" some of the lost resolution using a tool from Topaz.
