Posted @withregram • @daltonbuild We invite you to take a closer look at the before and after comparisons of the main stair hall inside the new St. Anne’s School— once a private residence. To meet fire and life safety requirements, a glass structure was installed on the main and upper level as a fire break and smoke screen. 🔥 Each glass panel had to be carried inside the building and positioned into place by a team of 6 people without the assistance of any large equipment. The increased load is supported by a 9m steel beam below and a new bulkhead above. This is how you adapt a space while preserving the original charm. A job well done by the entire team! 🌟
