Quetzal and Coatl
This is a piece I had been thinking about painting for a lonnnnng time but couldn't quite get it to work in my head. Although I had worked out the basic composition I wanted for the Quetzal to be perched on the Coatl artefact, I repainted the tail a few times before I was happy it was working with the rest of the composition. I focussed only on the detailing of the serpent heads and got quite a sore hand working on the feathers, due to the pressure sensitivity settings of my very ancient graphics tablet and it took me about a week to complete it.
I think it was worth it though and I am happy with it.

As a digital artist struggling to be seen in a noisy environment which is now cluttered with AI generated detritus cobbled together from stolen art, and cheap knock off sites also ripping off creators, your support means the world to me.
