Made stoofvlees aka Flemish stew for the first time. This was definitely a winner and yes Belgian beers were used.
Cooked for 5 hours on low, the beef was so tender and the sauce so thick. Yes, had some potatoes leftover and the stew will taste better tomorrow.
Apart from chuck beef and beer. It had onions, clove, thyme, apple and pear syrup, mustard on bread slices to thicken. Will do it again for sure.
