From 19th to 21st April, I attended the "KCC Baithak khana" a Bangla Literary fest at the @kccinkolkata
Despite having been brought up as a Bong boy in a Bengali household, my foray into Bangla literature is fairly new, and this year I wanted to explore more writers in the Bangla language.
This fest opened a window for me to various literary assets of the land and has piqued my interest to read more.
The theme of the fest was "the Bengali Middle Class" and saw various who's who in the Bangla art, literature, academia and film industry gracing the stage in numerous table discussions, debates, masterclasses, and performances.
The other thing this fest gave me was a great place for people watching after a week of screen watching 😄!
So, after I got back home, I got into sketching faces of the people, all very celebrated individuals who I witnessed each day. A few hours into it I realised that I had made enough caricatures to spread this content over 2-3 posts. So, if you like this, stay tuned for the next post for more!
