Tulips are in full bloom here in Connecticut. This unusually large storage box with dynamic floral decoration belongs to a Pennsylvania German group referred to as "Bucher boxes." This example was previously in the collection of George Horace Lorimer (1867-1937), editor-in-chief of the Saturday Evening Post. Sold to a private collection.
