❌❌❌Alert for bad experience!!
This was probably the one and only time we ever visited Gyu-Kaku in Richmond because of the extremely bad experience. We made a booking one week in advance because it was my daughter’s birthday and she specially requested for Gyu-kaku, however we were told 10 minutes before our reservation time that the restaurant couldn’t serve us because they were closing due to technical problem.
My daughter was getting upset and bursted into tears for the disappointment. So we ended up dropping by and when we were in the restaurant, the restaurant was still open and there were quite a few customers waiting to be seated. Obviously they were not closing, the waiters came over and told us last order was 8 o’clock(we entered at 7) and they stayed opened until 9 when we left.
I still don’t get why they cancelled our reservation at the last minute and lied with a ridiculous reason, because they overbooked or what, but we were just a group of 5, it was not like we were having a big party. We were so crossed and felt mistreated.
The quality of beef was under average, and the experience was horrible. I wouldn’t recommend dining here.
