All of the decks played that day relied on creatures to win, so Ensnaring Bridge was a real hit.
Creature decks have been eradicating combo and rising to the top tables, so perhaps this type of control deck has had a tailwind.
The sense of security that comes from having Ensnaring Bridge as your main deck also leads to fewer play mistakes by deliberately narrowing your own options...it's truly a soothing POX.
