Plenty of blooms along the Helen C Black Trail. The reward for walking to the top is not only views of the waterfall but also some gorgeous dwarf crested iris and woods anemone. On the way to the falls, there are fairy-like gardens of miterwort, phlox, and Canada violets. Not to mention the red columbine and goldenseal. For the most part, the trilliums are spent but miterwort and Tennessee chickweed are providing blooms in their place.
