Sarge and Diana have worked so hard the last 3.5 years and it’s all coming together and becoming a powerful team in the working field. You have worked so diligently, and continue to accomplish goals together and showcase this beautiful versatile breed properly.
For those that don’t know Personal protection training (Bite work or Schutzhund) is what this breed is bred for and it’s in their blood (in some lines out there). Schutzhund tests dogs for desired qualities such as a strong desire to work, courage, intelligence, trainability, loyalty, perseverance, protective instinct, on /off switch etc. The dog is to be in a state of extreme arousal, obedience and control are far more necessary and more highly trained than in most dog venues. The dog must be able to hear and respond to its handler when in full fighting drive. This requires not only good training but also a good dog, one with proper genetic temperament. That's what makes the sport an excellent "character test" for dogs.
