They are far from #easylistening like #bwv988 aka #goldbergvariations . Perhaps the most #sophisticated and #complex strictly #contrapuntal music on par with #bwv1080 , but without sounding so mathematical and mechanical, which I really do personally find the #artoffugue #artofthefugue , I confess, in largely thanks to the very instrument itself: the organ, which is capable of numerous tones and colors, often so fantastic and otherworldly , truly #celestial , perhaps , even downright STRANGE, almost on part with any good #20thcentury (tonal) music.
