Congratulations to Ollie for graduating from our Level 1 training Program!
Ollie’s mom called us because her 6 year old Lab mix suddenly started to fight going out on walks. He became frightened of being outside on leash and immediately began to pull to go back home as soon as they got more than a few feet from the door.
Ollie is fearful of the nearby school marching band that practices outside and is still working to walk confidently while they are actively practicing but has already made massive improvements. (He just doesn’t like to get too close 😅) His fear had transitioned to any outdoor walk whether the band was plying or not- we are happy to report that when the band isn’t playing Ollie can enjoy his walks confidently!
Overcoming fear based behaviors often takes extreme patience, repetition, consistency and time. Now his mom has the knowledge and tools to continue to work him through his triggers!
We are so proud of how far he has come and what incredible progress he has made! Ollie’s walks are now MUCH more enjoyable ❤️
