"We have taken a step towards the restoration of our common edifice": the inclusive national dialogue concluded in Gabon
This is how President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema reacted to the submission of a report at the end of the inclusive national dialogue.
🔹The consultations took place from April 2 to 30, with nearly 700 stakeholders participating.
The authors of the report "thus identified the challenges and opportunities of the country, proposed sustainable solutions to the problems posed in order to redefine the country's institutions, and lay the groundwork for a new social, economic, and political pact," according to the statement.
The duration of the transition remains at 2 years with a one-year extension in case of force majeure, Africanews reports.
The post-dialogue schedule includes the establishment of a constituent assembly to draft the country's future constitution. It will be subjected to a referendum in June.
