Loved leading Rhiannon's naming ceremony last weekend! So many highlights... including a musical contribution from guitarist dad Kris who he smiled at his little daughter as he sang to her in a quieter moment of the ceremony...The song lyrics encouraged his little daughter to be confident in the love her parents hold for her and to use that strength to become her own brand of woman warrior. Fabulous!
When she was born, Rhiannon wasn't very well and had to stay in hospital for a while with her mum. Lucy would gently sing the special song to her to soothe her as she struggled back to wellness .
Hearing that song performed live in front of family and friends and a happy healthy baby was moving to say the least. It was wonderful that in a Humanist ceremony, we were able to include this key part of Rhiannon's story.
