During Loc consultations it’s always the mother pressuring or forcing locs onto the child. Children are not property. Give them autonomy. I ran straight to the comments to try and figure out why a teacher would do this and why the teacher had time to do this. She’s pre-k and was showing signs of low self esteem around the loc’d style. The mother commented “This MY MFN baby, My child Tf!”. This is ego. When it comes to children and locs there has to be an example in parenting. Does the mother have locs? Does she display an example of beauty around locs? The mother adorns herself with variation. She’s even chosen her to be what looks like “relaxed” just last year. Children are led and learn by example. Did the stylist have a consultation with the child first? Not the mother, the CHILD. I will offer a free loc service to this child with a proper consultation.
