West up ya'll! I'm back with some Hiphop Art from my favorite artists on the gram the Bailey Bros @baileybrothaz These 2 pics are badass and evidence of their killer designs and it's also a full circle moment for the rappers featured. My all time favorite label is Death Row Records. They were truly untouchable for a minute and dropped some of the best albums ever made but greed and ego got in the way of that and it all crumbled. Fast forward to 2022 and DR'S former flagship artist Snoop Dogg @snoopdogg takes over ownership of the label in a deal supposedly worth 50 mil. Me and the homies were hyped! Westcoast gangsta rap was back and done by the best in the game. Unfortunately we were very wrong. It started off with an NFT fiasco and then disappointing album releases from an R&B singer and a Mariachi artist that left fans shaking their heads. It got ugly late 2023 when Snoop and Daz @dazdillinger had a falling out and it turned into genuine beef and lawsuits. So when the 2 blood cousins squashed it a few months back I was excited cause I hope Daz will push Snoop to take DR in a more Westcoast direction. It definitely looks promising. Daz returned only a few months ago and we already have a new Dogg Pound album dropping May 31. Appropriately titled W.A.W.G. - We All We Got, it's classic Westcoast G shit and that's evidenced by the first 2 singles. Produced by Cali legends like Rick Rock, DJ Battlecat and others it's a true DPGC affair with Snoop on board along with Daz and Kurupt @official_kurupt The first single "Smoke Up" is hella dope but it's the recently released title track and video that got fans including me fired up. Produced by Jelly Roll and featuring longtime Snoop affiliates The Eastsidez it's def a Westcoast G Funk banger and I'm hoping the whole album is on that level. It doesn't stop there. The highly anticipated followup to their platinum classic Dogg Food is also in the works with rumored beats from Daz, Soopafly and DJ Premier and it's also slated for release on Death Row. I'm happy to say I'm finally excited about the moves Snoop is making and eager to see what's next. Have u heard "W.A.W.G." and are u looking forward to the new DPG albums?
