🇬🇧One of my favourite manga magazines is for sure Dessert. There’s no manga I don’t like that has or had been published in the magazine, and I am always so happy when Kodansha picks up one of its titles to license either in print or digital. The magazine is quite young, in fact it started publication in 1996, taking the place of Shōjo Friend. But how did it changed since then? Well, you will find this out because a post about Shoujo Friend is coming soon. Popular, but not the most sold, it does enter a top 20 as for copies in circulation (in 2010.) In the meantime enjoy this one! 🇮🇹Dessert e’ sicuramente una delle mie riviste preferite. Diversamente da uno Hana to Yume che mixa un po’ slice of life e fantasy, qui abbiamo solo opere slice of life, scolastiche o con personaggi universitari. La rivista è piuttosto giovane, infatti sostituì Shōjo Friend (per ragioni imprecisate) che chiuse i battenti nel 1996. (Sapete cosa vuol dire vero? Che vi tocca uno speciale su Shoujo Friend fra qualche settimana.) Tuttavia è una delle riviste più amate, anche se non la più venduta di sempre. Bloom Into You was such a profound and wonderful manga. A story about two people with such different problems finding solace and comfort in eachother… but then as they grew closer, those problems began to rear their ugly heads. Almost a story about how much pain love can bring. Few series that I’ve read do as good of a job at portraying true, grounded human connection as well as this one. Whether its the relationship between the main duo, the friendships among the cast, or family bonds we see. You get to know the main duo so well across this fairly short manga, and you grow to care about them so much that you can’t bare when they’re apart. This manga was a true experience. One of those series that hits the absolute hardest on a first read. These series that delve into the world of human connection are often my favourites, and I’m only growing to appreciate them more and more with age. Bloom Into You, Alice In Borderland, Three Days Of Happiness, A Silent Voice, and Run With The Wind all immediately spring to mind. God I adore that set of manga! [Chronique] Silent Blue d’Icori Ando chez @delcourttonkam 💦Avis La collection « Moonlight » de Delcourt-Tonkam est clairement en train de devenir mon seul pourvoyeur de titres chez l’éditeur à de rares exceptions (Mix – Adachi !). J’aime le choix des titres qui y sont faits, souvent doux-amer, mélancoliques. Alors que je le pensais anecdotique, Silent Blue est ainsi un oneshot marquant, à l’image du diptyque Underwater de Yuki Urushibara. J’aime beaucoup. J’ai été totalement happé par le récit simple et mélancolique de cette jeune fille à la recherche de son passé qui va découvrir tellement plus. L’autrice a su me conquérir par ses dessins hypnotisants dans ce monde endormi à jamais et son ambiance douce-amère où elle montre la difficulté à tourner une page sur le passé. On a bien gardé toutes les bases d'Alice au pays des merveilles, c'est incroyable, j'adhère totalement. Et comme je sais qu'il y a plusieurs dortoirs (à chacun son univers Disney, le roi lion, la petite sirène, Hercules etc…), j'ai hâte de savoir la fin de ce premier arc, pour savoir si Yuken visite tous les dortoirs avec Grimm et voir la transition qu'il y aura. Un tome que je vous recommande d'acheter ❤️ Kotarô (Kota), un coiffeur rentrant chez lui un jour de pluie en prenant le raccourci et tombe sur Maru, ivre et décide de le ramener chez lui et tout dérape. Le lendemain matin, ils échangent au petit déjeuner puis touché par les pleurs et solitude de Maru, Kota l'accueille chez lui comme il n'a nulle part où aller. Deux personnes qui sont ravis de cette colocation. Cela apporte de la joie même si on a l'impression que Maru ne montre pas tout de lui et revoir une certaine personne va créer des tensions. Maru ne sait montrer son amour que par les relations charnelles et surtout, il n'ose jamais dire si ça lui plaît ou non de peur d'être détesté ou rejeté. Ça m'a fait beaucoup de peine de voir Maru ainsi. Pour Kota, va apprendre à parler aux êtres précieux pour lui car il a un certain regret par rapport à sa mère. Je trouve qu'ils se sont bien trouvés et le respect, l'amour et bienveillance sont présents. Maru a prit la fuite mais Kota va le retrouver. Des personnes vont les soutenir dans les réflexions et les discussions à coeur ouvert m'ont touché. C'est beaucoup d'amour dans tout ça 🫶🏽 Les dessins sont superbes. On connaît déjà les traits de la mangaka et je suis fan. Un OS qui est touchant, beau et sur la fin, je trouve que le geste de Maru est comme un renouveau avec Kota à ses côtés. Les Cartographes – Tome 1 @komikku_editions « Un voyage épique à travers des territoires inconnus ! » L'éditeur nous propose ici un petit seinen de Fantasy en seulement 3 tomes de Pamila dont c'est apparemment le premier titre publié en France mais aussi au Japon. « Un jour, le jeune pionnier Zaba rencontre Rita, une jeune fille mi-humaine, mi-bête, dotée d'un talent de cartographie prodigieux. La réalisation de cartes est le seul moyen pour les humains d'étendre leur territoire dans ce monde infesté de monstres. Dotée d'une forte volonté et d'une incroyable capacité à dessiner des cartes, Rita se voit proposer par Zaba de l'accompagner en exploration. La possibilité de trouver le salut pour les humains infectes par les créatures sommeille dans la citée abandonnée d'Amsterm, l'ancienne nation perdue des magiciens ! » Après une première lecture je dirais que c'est un titre qui fait preuve d'originalité, pour ma part c'est la première fois que je découvre une thématique autour de la cartographie, après l'on y retrouve bien évidemment des éléments propres à tout manga dont l'histoire se passe dans un univers de Fantasy. On se pose beaucoup de questions notamment quand à certains personnages ou encore le fonctionnement même de ce monde où les cartes ont une importance fondamentale. Sans surprise, nous sommes face à un premier tome dans lequel l'on découvre les personnages principaux mais également où est introduit le sujet même de l'histoire et la destination principale de leur voyage. Est-ce que 3 tomes seront suffisants ? Il faudra bien évidemment les lires pour le découvrir, mais vous pouvez compter sur moi pour vous donner un avis sur les tomes suivants. Je trouve cependant que ce premier tome est assez dense en informations, et le/la mangaka semble aller vers l'essentiel. Obiettivo! Vi è mai capitato di leggere una storia e chiedervi sin da subito quale fosse l'obiettivo di un personaggio? Forse è più facile che accada con un giallo, un thriller, nei BL non è così frequente. Con lost in the cloud però la domanda mi è balenata subito in mente: ma qual è l obiettivo di Cirrus? Già solo in questo primo volume sembra cambiare pagina dopo pagina. La premessa la ripetiamo per coerenza, Skylar ha l'abitudine di scattare foto di nascosto a Chan-li. Cirrus, scoprendo questo segreto, si appropria delle foto di Skylar iniziando a farlo vivere in un clima di ansia e terrore. Quello che manca, in questo momento, è uno scopo da associare alle azioni di Cirrus È un sadico che ha solo voglia di divertirsi? È un insicuro che si nasconde dietro il ferire gli altri? È un narcisista che ama sentirsi migliore e per farlo bullizza gli altri? È un frustrato che cerca valvole di sfogo per le sue turbe interne? È un bambino che non sa come dimostrare il suo interesse se non tormentando la persona che gli piace? Dopo aver letto questo primo volume Cirrus è Ditto per me, potrebbe essere qualsiasi delle opzioni sopra elencate. Più si legge, meno chiarezza viene fatta sulle sue intenzioni che, se all'inizio sembrano dettate da una mera voglia di passare il tempo, pare si evolvano poi in un interesse più specifico verso la persona di Skylar. Trattandosi di un primo volume, in realtà, trovo apprezzabile il ritrovarmi in questa confusione. Generalmente i BL sono abbastanza lineari e i plot twist decisamente sgamati; Lost in the cloud in questo senso mi fa partire già dalla confusione più totale, quindi in realtà mi intriga di più di altre storie A chi non conosce già a memoria la storia (e a chi riesce a dimenticarsela) che mi dite? Au lieu d’une aventure sans lendemain, ils s’engagent dans une relation qui n’est ni simplement physique ni totalement dénuée de sentiments, une relation à la fois détendue et sensuelle... ✨ Mon avis : Une de mes petites lectures plaisir, un tome aussi bien que les précédents. J’apprécie beaucoup cette série qui est tout sauf prise de tête. Ce tome est beaucoup plus hot que le précédent ! Mais l’histoire est toujours aussi sympathique même si honnêtement il n’y a pas vraiment de grand enjeu c’est le principe des petite lecture plaisir. J’espère tout de même que la série ne sera pas trop longue pour pas qu’elle s’essouffle. La couverture est très douce avec ses couleurs et son style aquarelle. Les dessins sont relativement simples. Le speech de base m'intriguait énormément. J'avoue que je m'attendais plutôt à un scénario sur la transidentité. Une personne de genre masculin ayant gardé ses attributs féminins, finissant par tomber enceinte. Finalement, ce n'est pas du tout ça ! Je comprends la démarche mais le fait qu'il n'y est pas un minimum d'arguments scientifiques pour expliquer ce phénomène me chiffonne pas mal. Des hommes tombant enceints par un moyen inconnu (autofécondation ?), ne possédant donc pas d'utérus... C'est vraiment tiré par les cheveux. Tous scénarios aussi étranges soit-il doivent impérativement fournir une explication pour que cela tienne la route. Même une oeuvre présentant de la magie, expliquera des notions pour que le tout paraisse tout de même crédible. Ici, rien n'est fait en ce sens... Je suis peut être trop à cheval sur la biologie mais il y avait beaucoup de choses à mettre en place pouvant expliquer plus ou moins le scénario: une personne trans FtM, une personne possédant un appareil reproducteur féminin et masculin, une malformation, une mutation... N'importe quoi ! La démarche est tout de même louable. Ce tome met en avant les inégalités entre les hommes et les femmes. Que ce soit par rapport aux congés pater/mater, aux tâches ménagères ou même le salaire. Les personnages sont sympathiques et plutôt attachants.
