Man betrachte beispielsweise den Oktopus: Außergewöhnlich klug, hat er es gerne eher entspannt und macht oft Quatsch. Oder die Biene, die nicht nur eine gute Fliegerin, sondern auch eine ganz passable Surferin ist! Oder den Buntbarsch, der depressiv wird, wenn man ihn mit der falschen Partnerin verkuppelt. Mark Benecke kennen alle. Er ist ein international hoch renommierter Kriminalbiologe und sowohl aus dem Fernsehen und Radio als auch als Autor vieler Bücher bekannt. Mark Benecke würde niemals ein Tier essen, weil Mensch Freunde nicht isst. Kat Menschik ist freie Illustratorin. Wenn sie nicht gerade Tiere zeichnet, sitzt sie gerne in ihrem Garten und zählt Insekten oder vor dem Radio und hört sich die Benecke'schen Tierbetrachtungen an, in denen neueste Forschung und altes Wissen zusammenfließen. Kein Wunder, dass sie sich eines Tages in den Kopf setzte, unbedingt ein Buch mit ihm zu machen. Originalsprache: Deutsch Zugegeben, dieses Büchlein ist etwas ganz Besonderes. So heißen die Kapitel etwa "Betrunkene Elche", "Nekrophile Enten" oder "Haustiere, die Menschen essen". Hat mir alles sehr gut gefallen. 🤭 Kopffüßler und Vampirfledermäuse waren meine Favoriten. Die Illustrationen von Kat Menschik sind wunderschön, wie man beim Swipen sehen kann. ✨️ Mark Benecke kenne ich aus "Medical Detectives" - so ein intelligenter und sympathischer Mensch. Je découvre la plume d'Erika Navilles avec Perdue dans les Bois-Noirs (SP non rémunéré). Un roman policier/ thriller qui nous plonge dans l'action dès le début. Sur la berge dans les Bois-Noirs dans le Puy-de-Dôme, le corps d'une fille est découvert, que faisait elle là ? Qui est-elle ? Meurtre ou suicide? Voilà ce que va devoir découvrir le Lieutenant Christophe Roche à peine revenu dans son village natal pour diriger la brigade. Lors de ses recherches, il va trouver un roman dont la mort d'un personnage ressemble à celle de cette fille, y a-t-il un lien? Y-a-t-il eu d'autres cas similaires ? Le Lieutenant ne se doute pas qu'il va se retrouver plongé dans son passé, un passé qu'il avait un peu occulté et, il va se mettre à chercher des réponses. L'autrice pimente l'histoire avec la disparition de Lucie, la fille de Roche et les rumeurs sur un homme vivant dans la forêt qui serait fou. Le plus du roman, la description des paysages qui donne envie d'y aller, c'est tellement réaliste tout comme les personnages. L'auteure arrive à faire ressentir la peur que génère l'ambiance de la forêt en pleine nuit. Jusqu'à la fin j'ai été prise par l'intrigue et je ne m'attendais pas à ces rebondissements. I haven’t read any books by this author before but I will definitely be doing now. This is up there as one of my top reads of this year so far! I bloody loved it and will be recommending and talking about this fabulous book for a very long time! Eddie Flynn Book 1 The Defense [Rating 4/5] After reading Eddie Flynn books 5 and 6, I decided to read books 1-4. Eddie Flynn Book 1 The Defense. The Russian mafia kidnapped Eddie Flynn's 10 year old daughter and strapped a bomb to Eddie's back and forced him to defend Volchek in an impossible murder trial and he only has 48 hours to do it. This book was just good but not great like the other two books. I need to keep in mind this is the first book in the series, and not the same Eddie I knew from Book 5 and 6. Looking at it that way, this was a good introduction to Eddie Flynn and his backstory. It felt like an almost 2 hour long tv pilot episode. Titre : Au plus Profond de la Forêt Auteur : Holly Balck _______ Une belle découverte qui nous replonge dans l'univers du Peuple De L'Air. Un petit coup de cœur entre plusieurs lectures qui vient raviver mon envie de relire Le Prince Cruel. Cette fois-ci nous sommes plongés dans une ville humaine, Solclair, en compagnie d'Hazel, Ben et Jack. Dans cette forêt remplie de mystère se trouve un Fae endormi. Hazel & Ben, frère et sœur, ont toujours imaginé les histoires les plus chevaleresques pour sauver leur Prince. Un jour, ce dernier sortira de son sommeil éternel. Alors, la ville est prise d'assaut par la menace Fae. Tous vont devoir sauver la ville d'une menace (presque) inconnu. Sincèrement, le livre était vraiment super. Je ne m'attendais pas à grand-chose en le prenant. Et je ne m'attendais pas non plus à adorer l'histoire. (Après c'est du Holly Black, j'aurai du m'en douter) On retrouve encore une femme forte, aussi intelligente que forte. Elle est prête à tout pour aider son frère, pour sauver la ville et pour sauver le Prince de ses histoires. J'ai aimé presque tous les personnages du livre, ils ont tous quelque chose qui fait que l'on va garder un souvenir d'eux. J'ai tout de même ma préférence pour Hazel & Jack, leur petite histoire est vraiment incroyable. J'ai beaucoup aimé le petit plot-twist 🫣. On peut aussi ajouter les deux petites histoires d'amour qui viennent merveilleusement bien ponctuer l'action du livre. Pour ce qui est du reste de l'histoire, je vous laisse découvrir. Je ne sais quoi dire de plus, dans mes publications parlant déjà du Peuple De L'Air j'évoque déjà ce que je pense de cet univers. Hoe ver zal dit ruilspel gaan? Zal Chloe eindigen met alles, of niets? Beoordeling:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ De auteur heeft een vlotte schrijfstijl, die ervoor zorgt dat je letterlijk door het verhaal heel vliegt. Het personage van Chloe is veelzijdig neergezet en je leert haar verschillende kanten goed kennen tijdens het verhaal. Het verhaal kent ook een paar serieuze thema’s, die het boek wat meer diepgang geven. De auteur weet door haar humor een bepaalde luchtigheid te behouden, waardoor het verhaal blijft aanvoelen als feelgood. Het verassende einde, was echt de kers op de taart. Koningsdag is ook heel leuk in het verhaal verwerkt. Dit was echt een heel leuk feelgood verhaal om te lezen! Yes I know I'm late on the train, but I am finally able to conclude and see as to why this book was SOOO hyped. I get it. i GET. IT. wow I couldn't put this down at all. Even when I had to, I couldn't stop thinking about what is going on or what is going to happen in this book. The writing is oh my god so good and the characters are so well-balanced in terms of having goods and bads, it doesn't feel like they're either unrealistically bad or unrealistically good because let's be real no one is 100% good and vice versa. Though there ARE very unlikeable characters COUGH COUGH they were properly beautifully written. Heartbreaking ending but was very beautifully written. THIS WHOLE BOOK was very beautifully written. Redeeming 6 by Chloe Walsh🩷🫶🌺 5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Okay, so I mentioned in my review of Saving 6 that I thought it couldn’t get any worse than what was in that book…well it got worse! 😫 Joey was heartbreaking💔. Reading the events from Binding and Keeping 13 through his perspective was devastating. It made me sob throughout the whole book. Aoife undying loyalty and devotion to him was so admirable and showed her strength of character, even though at times I was begging her to turn away even though I love Joey❤️. Their relationship is truely beautiful at the end and I am so so happy they got there happily ever after. No one deserves it more than Joey in my opinion🥹🥰. ❗️❗️❗️POTENTIAL SPOILER COMING UP❗️❗️❗️ I loved everything about this book, except the surprise pregnancy. I can’t remember if it comes about in Saving 6 or this one. I think it was sweet that it gave Joey the guts to try and fight his addiction but, deep down I really just wanted him to do it for himself. I really wanted him to find his self worth. I didn’t hate it and it wasn’t enough for me to knock a star off. ❗️❗️❗️SPOILERS ENDED ❗️❗️❗️ All in all, this book made me feel everything! Rage, heartbreak, devastation, hope, happiness, everything you can think of. I think Joeys perspective was a brilliant addition to the series and closed out a few more story lines which was nice. 🫶🥰 Bring on Taming 7!💙
📖<이완의 자세> 김유담, 창비, 2021 ◾️음... 잘 가다가 너무 급작스럽게 끝나버린 느낌? 분명 초중반부까지는 여탕에서 자란 소녀가 세신사로 일하는 엄마와의 관계에서 느끼는 억압과 소외감에 대해서 잘 풀고 있었다. 근데 갑자기 목욕탕집 아들과 섹스를 시도하다 실패하더니 책이 끝나버렸다. 초중반부가 너무 좋았어서 더욱 아쉬웠던 소설이다. 경장편 시리즈지만 분량이 더 허락됐다면 좋았을 것 같다. ◾️'나'라는 캐릭터가 희미한 느낌이었다. 엄마에 대한 소회를 담은 분량이 많아서 그런지 막상 주인공 '나'의 캐릭터는 디테일이 잘 보이지 않았다. 작가님의 문장들과 글의 느낌이 좋아서 아쉬움이 더 남는다. ◾️책 속에서 ✅️p.76 그것은 내 허기가 아니라 엄마의 허영을 채우기 위한 도시락이었다. 엄마가 내게 무용을 가르쳤던 것도 그런 종류의 허영이었다는 것을 안다. ✅️p.167 온몸을 휘감은 온기 속에서 내 몸의 모든 구멍이 열리고 있었다. 그 안에서 어떤 것이 쏟아져 나올지 나도 알 수 없었다.
isn’t she a stunner? ✨ today, i woke up in a celebratory mood. it’s the start of golden week here in japan, and sapporo is now decidedly in spring mode, with the city almost completely clear of the slushy remnants of winter. more importantly, i survived my first two weeks at work and wanted to get myself a gift. the kinokuniya here isn’t as big as the one in tokyo, and their collection of english books is much smaller, but how could i be upset when their shelves held catherine lacey’s biography of x, a book i’d been waiting more than a year to get my hands on? i nearly squealed. i’ve been a fan of lacey since i read nobody is ever missing years ago, and when i followed that with the answers, she quickly joined the ranks of my auto-buy authors. the actual buying, however, isn’t carried out with quite as much quickness. i stay away from owning hardcovers as much as possible, which means i have to wait for the release of the paperback whenever an author i like publishes new work. it used to frustrate me, but i’ve learned to appreciate the anticipation and now look forward to the rush of pleasure i get when that much-awaited book is finally in my hands. having said that, i am so terribly excited to read @amortowles’ table for two. i hope i won’t have to wait too long for it 🤞🏼🙏🏼
🔥 No Limits de Emily Kind 🔥 Dès les premiers instants, j'ai su que ce spin-off allait surpasser Fleur de Foudre. Un ressenti qui s'est confirmé tout au long de ma lecture. Cette histoire, c'est la folie qui t'emporte. Au revoir la moralité et les protagonistes bien sous tous rapports. Dans ce livre, nous avons deux protagonistes fracassés par cette vie qui n'a pas été tendre avec eux. Enfermés dès leur plus jeune âge, ils ont grandi ensemble dans cet endroit pire qu'une prison... Solanum. Ce foyer pour jeunes adultes dont ils se sont enfuis. Après trois années de recherches, Khassian retrouve enfin Circé mais pas dans les meilleures conditions qui soient... Circé est le personnage le plus complexe de l'histoire. Elle s'autodétruit à cause de ce qu'elle a vécu tout au long de sa vie et ne sait plus que s’exprimer qu’à travers son corps. Pourtant, elle le refuse au seul qui arrive à la faire sentir vivante par peur de le souiller par son sombre passé qui continue d'être son présent. Lui ? Il ne veut qu'elle. Elle est sa reine et veut régner à ses côtés. Mais la conquérir ne va pas être chose aisée. Un vrai jeu va se mettre en place pour savoir qui craquera le premier. Mais c'est sans compter la détermination de ces deux êtres remplis de folie. La dynamique de l'histoire est entraînante. Je ne me suis ennuyée à aucun moment. Si vous aimez les histoires dangereuses avec mafia, retrouvailles, et relation sulfureuse, ce livre est fait pour vous ! Produit offert

Cependant, vous risquez d'avoir uen chronique prochainement puisque j'ai réussi à convaincre monsieur de s'y mettre et il apprécie pour l'instant les 1/4 qu'il a lu. RÉSUMÉ : Le Mitchell’s Inn est un hôtel de charme perdu au cœur de la forêt. Ses pensionnaires croient avoir choisi la destination idéale pour se détendre au coin du feu, loin de la frénésie new-yorkaise. Là-bas, pas d’Internet ni de réseau. Mais la tempête fait rage et, après une coupure d’électricité, on découvre Dana Hart, venue pour une escapade romantique avec son fiancé, morte au pied de l’escalier. Chute accidentelle ?
