JORGE PEDRO MARTÍN OCHOA (Manzanillo, Cuba, 1987). Graduado en la Escuela de Instructores de Arte “Cacique Hatuey” (2005) y Licenciado en Educación, por el Instituto Superior Pedagógico "Blas Roca" (2010). Es miembro de la Asociación Hermanos Saíz. Ha realizado cuatro exposiciones personales y se incluyó en más de 20 exhibiciones, concursos y salones colectivos en Bayamo, Manzanillo, Guantánamo y Holguín (Cuba). Ha sido merecedor del Gran Premio y premio colateral del Salón “10 de Octubre” en 2022 y 2023, respectivamente, y mención especial en el Salón Provincial “Julio Girona” 2018. Su obra se encuentra en colecciones privadas de Cuba, Canadá y México. Graduated from the “Cacique Hatuey” School of Art Instructors (2005) and Bachelor of Education from the “Blas Roca” Higher Pedagogical Institute (2010). He is a member of the Hermanos Saíz Association. MANUEL LÓPEZ OLIVA (Manzanillo, Cuba, 1947). Artista visual y crítico de arte. Finalizó sus estudios de pintura en 1969 en la Escuela Nacional de Arte. Ha sido docente de pintura en la Escuela Provincial de Arte de Camagüey y en la Escuela Nacional de Arte de La Habana. También fue docente de la Facultad de Artes Plásticas de la Universidad de las Artes de Cuba hasta 2014. Es miembro del Consejo Nacional de la Unión de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba; ha sido Presidente del Comité Nacional de la Asociación Internacional de Artistas Plásticos (AIAP) y experto en Arte Latinoamericano de la UNESCO. También ha participado en la fundación de varias prestigiosas instituciones culturales cubanas, como el Ministerio de Cultura y el Fondo Cubano de Bienes Culturales. Asimismo, ha actuado como jurado en múltiples eventos, bienales y concursos. Ha ofrecido conferencias y cursos sobre arte en centros culturales, museos y universidades de Colombia, Estados Unidos, Suecia, Francia, Nicaragua, Brasil, Italia y República Dominicana. Ha realizado ilustraciones y portadas para varios libros y revistas. Visual artist and art critic, he finished his painting studies in 1969 at the National Art School. He has been a teacher of Painting in the Provincial Art School of Camagüey and in the National Art School of Havana. Until 2014 he was a teacher at the Plastic Arts Faculty of the Arts University in Cuba. He’s a member of the National Council of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba, and had been the President of the National Committee of the International Association of Plastic Artists (AIAP in Spanish), and an expert in Latin-American Art for UNESCO. He has also participated in the founding of several prestigious Cuban cultural institutions, such as the Culture Ministry and the Cuban Fund of Cultural Items. Likewise, he has acted as jury in multiple events, in biennials, and in contests. He has offered conferences and courses on art in culture centers, museum, and universities in Columbia, USA, Sweden, France, Nicaragua, Brazil, Italy and the Dominican Republic.
