- - EARTH WOMB 2019 映像配信／映像制作で知られるNetflixが初めて発行した、印刷媒体QUEUE誌上で行われたインタビュー企画 “Optimal Viewing Conditions（理想のビューイングルーム）”。この企画でファレル・ウィリアムズが語った「Connected yet Isolated」「Harmony and Seamless」「Wood and Warmth」「Water」という４つの抽象的な言葉から、彼の理想のビューイングルームを探った。海岸沿いの断崖に佇む建物。地下に降りて行くと、壁面に木の有機的なレイヤーがあしらわれた小さな部屋にたどり着く。そこでは、波が削りとったかのような開口を通して外界と繋がりながらも、自然光や自然の音の効果で本来の自分に戻り、自分だけの世界に籠ることができる。生身の身体を離れて自己の内面と向き合うような、まるで自然の胎内にいるような感覚だ。この場所こそ、過不足ない集中状態でアート（フィルム）を鑑賞することができる、“Earth Womb”と名付けられた空間。ワンダーウォールが作り出したファレル・ウィリアムズのための理想のビューイングルームである。 Netflix, known for video streaming and production, published an interview piece titled “Optimal Viewing Conditions” in its first print-based media “QUEUE.” We were asked to explore Pharrell Williams's idea of his optimal viewing space based on the four abstract terms mentioned in the interview: "Connected yet Isolated," "Harmony and Seamless," "Wood and Warmth," and "Water." The concept depicts a building that sits along a coastal cliff. Traveling underground, you arrive at a small room with walls decorated in organic layers of wood. There, you remain connected to the outside world through an opening that looks as if a side of the cliff had been shaven off by the waves, while the calming effects of natural light and sound also inspire you to turn inward and connect to your true self. This is “Earth Womb,” a place where you can enjoy art (film) in a state of pure and balanced concentration. It is the optimal viewing room designed by Wonderwall for Pharrell Williams.
