We are still in complete awe of what we witnessed Wednesday night @arizonatheatre, The Glass Menagerie. Azra was fully invested, on the edge of her seat, elbows to knees, head in hand from the moment Laura and Amanda took the stage to the minute she popped up to applaud them. The storytelling, acting, and portrayal of these characters was beautiful, intense and haunting. We were captivated by the pure, fragile nature of Laura. We held our breath at Michelle’s long pauses where only her expression spoke making us feel uneasy for Laura and her circumstance. Lillie was fierce in her delivery of Amanda’s desires for the life she dreamed about for her family. And, Aaron completely blew us away with his explosive passion for Tom’s own desire to break free while also offering so much grace and tenderness towards Laura. We were moved by the beautiful music Cassie created for this show. And, last but certainly not least the insane direction of Miss Chanel! This story inspired great conversation of love, expectation, selflessness, selfishness, and the fine line of who and what one should live their life for.
