Coucou les mordus, Livre choisi : La maison aux pattes de poulet de GennaRose Nethercott (éditions Albin Michel Imaginaire) dans la catégorie Titre avec un nom d'animal. 🐈 Bellatine et Isaac vivent séparés depuis de nombreuses années (en fait depuis qu'Isaac a quitté subrepticement le domicile familial) et n'ont plus aucun contact entre eux suite à ce jour. Mais quand un notaire leur fait part du leg de leur arrière-grand-mère, le frère et le soeur vont devoir apprendre à refaire connaissance. Car cet héritage n'est pas n'importe quoi. N'attendez pas un mystérieux parchemin menant à un trésor, ni un coffre rempli de pierres précieuses, ni le titre de roi/reine d'un pays inconnu.... Il s'agit ni plus ni moins d'une maison aux pattes de poulet ! Hé oui, car l'ancêtre en question n'est rien de moins que l'incroyable Baba Yaga (si vous ne connaissez pas la légende, je vous conseille "Wikipédia est ton copain" pour la réponse). Sauf que, comme dans tout conte, il y a toujours un méchant qui veut contrer les plans des gentils. Et là, le méchant, c'est Ombrelongue qui cherche à tout prix à savoir où peut bien se trouver cette jolie petite maisonnette (quitte à buter tout le monde sur le passage). 🏠 Ce livre fut une magnifique découverte faite en lecture commune (découverte initiée par Steph Chaptal qui m'a vraiment donné envie de l'acheter). Dans ce livre, tout est génial : que ce soient les personnages que j'ai trouvés incroyables (mention ++++ pour Winifred ma préférée) et j'ai peur pour eux à de nombreux moments, pour le méchant qui est tout simplement incroyable, pour l'écriture qui est vraiment agréable, pour l'histoire qui est fabuleuse et addictive, et pour avoir repris un conte qui est connu sans pour autant être souvent revisité. Alors chapeau bas madame l'autrice. Today is my birthday so it feels right to post again! 🥳️ Let me tell you a bit about Yarilo and St. George/Sv. Juraj. We celebrated St. George’s Day a few days ago, but it's never too late to share this fascinating legend. Numerous Slavic pre-Christian traditions and beliefs are interwoven and interpreted in the Croatian folk customs of St. George's Day (April 23). St. George's Day is a true spring, shepherd's and farmer's holiday. The customs of lighting bonfires, decorating livestock with greenery and the procession of Jurjaši, Đurđari, and Zeleni Jura (Green Jura/George) are widespread, especially in northwestern Croatia. Greenery symbolizes spring, so St. George takes the form of a walking green bush made of young birch branches. It represents the awakening of nature and the beginning of a new farming year. In the evening, the bonfire is lit. It is believed this fire is magical and has cleansing and protective powers. In the Christian tradition St. George is depicted as a warrior who kills a dragon. The Slavic deity who hides under the name of Sv. Juraj/St.George is Perun's son - Yarilo. Yarilo, as well as St. George/Juraj/Zeleni Jura, brings fertility to nature precisely in the second half of April, when the feast of St. George is held. Thus, in a long-term process, traditions were mixed and new ones were created: the Slavic worship of Yarilo turned into the worship of St. Juraj. I hope this wasn’t too complicated. I tend to get carried away when I talk about these things. Here’s a lovely folk song about this mysterious and beautiful feast: Lepi Juro kres nalaže, na Jurjevo, na Jurjevo. Estamos em pleno Outono, uma época de colheita e agradecimento por tudo o que foi semeado na Primavera e expandido no Verão. O Outono nos ensina a desapegar daquilo que não nos serve mais, assim como as folhas secas. É preciso deixar as folhas secas caírem para que no Inverno haja o descanso e a introspecção necessários e então, novas flores possam brotar na Primavera e então, se expandir no Verão. O que é necessário manter? O que é necessário desapegar? O que eu aprendi com essa situação? Que frutos podem ser colhidos dela? Vale a pena continuar colocando vírgulas em algo que precisa ter um ponto final? Vale a pena manter todas essas folhas secas em meus galhos, sendo que elas não estão mais sendo frutíferas para mim? As folhas já foram verdes antes, mas hoje estão amareladas, marrons… secas, murchas. Precisam cair. E por mais difícil que possa ser deixar ir, será ainda mais custoso segurá-las comigo, senão não haverá espaço para novas flores, novas folhas e novos frutos. É preciso deixar morrer o velho para que possa nascer o novo. Agora, pergunte a sua alma, ao seu Eu interior, à sua razão, consciência, intuição... Não importa o nome que você dê: “Do que eu preciso desapegar? O que não está mais me fazendo bem e já passou da hora de eu soltar?
