Bbq beef rib wraps, wings, moink balls and pig shots 🔥🔥 This was my cook yesterday for the last day of @ukbbqweek . The theme was a bank holiday picnic so I cooked up a selection of finger foods. Thankfully the rain held off for most of the day as my total cooking time was nearly 7 hours. Every dish was cooked on the @proqsmokers Frontier. Beef short ribs from @bladeandbonebutchery were epic as always. Rubbed with some @angusandoink Dirty Cow rub and smoked with oak wood for about five hours. I shredded the meat and put it in wraps with some salsa. Moink balls and pig shots were in the smoker straight after the ribs and smoked for about an hour. Switched the Pro Q to direct mode and cooked a lot of wings! The wings were rubbed with @thatrubguy Chicken Tasty and then one batch glazed with @bullseyebbq Original sauce and the other batch with @thaidragonbrand Sriracha and some garlic mayo. Mrs jog_braai made a fantastic coronation chickpea salad which was very fitting for the weekend. The food went down very well with all my guests. No time to do a lot of prep from scratch so it was time to raid the lardour and fridge. It worked out great!! Wings rubbed with @thatrubguy Chicken Tasty and skewered. Cooked hot and fast (its a school night after all!) Basted one skewer with chilli and garlic oil, the other with @bullseyebbq original bbq sauce. Awesome smoked hot wings on the @proqsmokers Frontier. I did a reel as well but wanted to share a post too. Prepared the wings and marinaded in olive oil, @nandosuk peri peri sauce and @angusandoink Sweet Bones & Butts rub. Left in the fridgd for most of the day. Smoked in the Frontier over apple wood for about 1,5 hours. Heated some more Nandos sauce in my baby potjie and drizzled over the smoked wings. Made a quick and easy blue cheese dip to take a little edge off the heat. You could even use an electric griller. _ Rec & Pic cred: @mama_taught_me_well Ruhana Ebrahim Ingredients: 1kg chicken wings (with skin on) OR 1 chicken (cut in pieces) 1 tsp salt 1 tsp dhana jeeru (coriander cumin) powder 1 tsp paprika powder ¼ tsp cinnamon powder ¼ tsp clove powder ¼ tsp elachie (cardamom) powder 1 tsp onion powder 1 Tbsp crushed garlic 1 lemon (juiced) 2 Tbsp oil 1 small green chilli 1 small red chilli Finely chopped coriander Method: 1. Blend all ingredients together except coriander. 2. Mix coriander in when blended. 3. Marinate chicken and leave in fridge overnight. 4. Preheat oven to 180°C. 5. Set chicken in a greased oven proof dish. 6. Cover with foil & cook chicken until done, 30- 45min, turning over now and then to cook evenly through. 7. Place oven on grill setting, remove foil & char off a little. 8.
