🏃🏻♂️Marathon Monday Memory🏃🏻♂️ 10 years ago we buzzed to different parts of the race course to watch Gabe run @bostonmarathon. 💛💙💛 It was particularly heartfelt because the year before, he hadn’t been able to reach me on my phone. 📱 My 2-year-old and I were a couple blocks away from the bombing when it happened, but had been near the finish line about an hour before. 🙏 The term #bostonstrong was coined, and for good reason. 💪 The hospitals were unparalleled in their swift attention to wounds and catastrophic injuries. 🏥 The police and law enforcement were lightning fast in their apprehension of the perpetrators. 🚓 And the city of Boston was well on its way to launching a powerful rebound, and perhaps even a re-brand. 🌟 2014 seemed as good a year as any to replace a bad memory with a good one. 🙌 We don’t always get a chance for a “re-do”, I’m so grateful this was a perfect opportunity for one. Even if I was just a spectator.
