Now we need kneecaps, feets, lots of tweaking and patience to make the joints move properly, and clothes ๐ This type of doll will be easier to travel with than the static ones I used to make before. I might make more static dolls/sculptures in the future though, they'll just be bigger than before. Not much progress on my ball jointed doll, I'm currently reworking the ball joints so I can pass the proper size elastic cord through them, and at the same time I'm also packing for our move, while going through a lot with my health ๐ค My doll's joints move better than mine ๐ I can't wait to soon be at lower elevation so the added pressure on my pituitary cyst will improve. Hopefully some of the symptoms will improve too. It's been really rough. Here's another take on Spyro. I made this immediately after making the previous Spyro sculpture, using Cosclay instead of Premo polymer clay. The colors are such a good match! I have never been fond of the purple Cosclay, but it turns out it needs very little modification (the addition of a small amount of blue) to get to the perfect Spyro purple. I was also inspired to use glass cabochon eyes, since I thought it would look more similar to the actual character. I tried for the eye brow thing, which was... not completely successful. I'd like to give that another try at some point, but for now I'm all Spryo'd out. Spryo has been sold.

There's a lot of work to do on my doll still, I'm currently working on sculpting the knee joints and lower legs, then I'll sculpt her feet, and before I can blush the body I'll have a lot of sanding to do. I don't think she'll be done before we leave Costa Rica permanently in 4 weeks. I'll probably be finishing her between Texas and France. Nothing much lately, I'm slowly filling her out and starting to get a clearer idea about her dress, I'm definitely going to work on a red gown for her after she's all finished. I haven't been doing well lately and the pituitary cyst pressing on my optic nerve is causing worsening blurred vision so I'm really struggling to sculpt even at this scale. I'm also dealing with other health problems and severe pain levels, joint pain, nerve pain, trigeminal neuralgia, extreme fatigue and feeling very overwhelmed with a lot of very difficult things happening all at once. So because I'm so challenged I'm dealing with a lot of self doubt and insecurities about my sculpting skills and it's actually really hard for me to post pictures of my work altogether. I'm not sure how the next few months are going to be. I'll need to start packing soon and deal with a lot more stress and uncertainty after we move. My last piece for tomorrow's shop restock is a Succulent Rock Dino names Stoney! Stoney is a delightful little boulder with lots of spunk and sass. She loves to chase fireflies and hunt for frogs in the late spring evenings and curls up as the sun comes up to bask in it's warmth as she sleeps the days away. ENG: The second arm is now completed with faster processing than the first. It was enough to take inspiration from the already cooked limb and reproduce details such as the proportions and the anatomical part on the one being worked on. The most difficult part was reproducing the texture in order to create a certain symmetry between the two limbs. I must say, however, that the result has borne fruit and given me enormous satisfaction now that I see the work as a whole. La parte piรน ardua รจ stata riprodurre la texture in modo da creare una certa simmetria tra i due arti. Devo dire perรฒ che il risultato ha dato i suoi frutti e dato enorme soddisfazione al sottoscritto ora che vedo l'opera nell'insieme. Ora mancheranno altri due arti di questo tipo e poi si procederร alla progettazione delle zampe posteriori. Ti piace il risultato?
