The poster series for the Game Night was born during the Corona period. Social isolation somehow led me to miss my friends very much so i took more time to play with my buddies. These virtual meetings have become very important to me, and from this motivation, I decided to continuously lure / remind / reward my friends with a fine invitation poster. I’ve been doing this for over a year now. How transparent can a product be? How much information can be collected about a single object? And what visual strategies are suitable for creating transparency through communication? Taking a pair of shoes as an example, a „deep mapping“ is undertaken through observing production processes, dissecting the shoe into single parts, tracing back materials and imagining its end of life. • Foster Clark’s Product Redesign • This is one of my favourite assignments this year so far! A product redesign is always enjoyable for me. With this project, I chose to redesign the ‘Foster Clarks’ custard powder into ‘Chef’s Confection’ custard powder which I created to simultaneously position the brand to a premium market. Today is International Design Day! 🙌 Established in 1995 by the International Council of Design @theicod, it recognizes the value of design and the ways it can create change in the world. This year's theme of "is it kind?" asks us to measure design in terms of how well it can care for people and their relationships, over other factors such as profit. 💗 (You can find out more about "the kindness standard" for design at bit.ly/4d4Gnk2.) We're so happy that this celebration of design is about building kindness into design practice, as that's what we're all about at ErgoErgo. Has anyone else been feeling the lack of creativity recently? Or is it just me..? I don’t know if it’s the weather, or that I’m so busy trying to juggle work and studying that I’m just a bit burnt out? I’ve been quieter on here than I would have liked.. I’m always inspired by what others post, but I’m not one to post other peoples work/designs to fill in the gaps. To be honest, I think a little imposter syndrome has also crept in recently… 👀 I’m quite strict with only posting my own content, but sometimes I really feel the pressure of it not ‘being good enough’. So I’m going to start posting more places I’ve been that inspire me interior/design wise, whether it’s a whole space or just a detail.. and just try not to over think it. I’m obviously right at the start of my interior design journey, and I need to keep reminding myself of that. I’m hoping by doing the above, I’ll start to discover and develop my own style. That was the point of this anyway! The journey. Hopefully the small community that’s already here will stick around for the ride 🤘 after all, it’s a marathon, not a sprint. So, here’s a shot from my stay at The Drake Hotel in Toronto a couple of years back. I fell in love with the buttery yellow velvet and brown leather contrast against the striped flooring. A bit of a visual metaphor for the weather at the moment: mostly grey with a hint of sunshine 🌞
