Ruck #145 done with a 45lb ruck and again later than expected, but it was totally worth it! Spent the majority of the day with all 3 of my boys as I worked a short work day today. Went to their last day of school parties, then all of us boys got our ears lowered, and finally took them out to lunch for Brother’s Day. Finished up the night with the oldest playing his last regular season baseball game and he killed it as 1st baseman and was a killer at bat, but again we fell short. He then filled in as a sub for another team after his game and did great in the outfield and then next thing you know he’s back as first baseman and killing it for that team as well as killing the ball while at bat. Super proud of the huge progress he made this year and now we will wait and see if his season gets prolonged! Ruck #143 was really late, got home from work and headed straight over to the baseball fields as my oldest and middle boys had games. My oldest boy had a great hit today and stole 2nd base and then stole 3rd base by sliding in, I saw a quickness in him I’ve never seen before. My middle boy and his team clinched 3rd place in the league and are headed to the city tournament, definitely a proud Dad moment for me today with both of my boys. Ruck #142 was at a slower pace, but I fulfilled my promise to my middle son and we completed 2.75 miles and had some great one on one time with one another. We talked a lot about his day, and I gave him positive reinforcement that he can do hard things. He achieved over 11k steps today which is great for a 6 year old. He loved rucking with his new KR1 ruck from @goruck and he rucked with 5lbs while I rucked with my usual 45lb ruck. The hour and 9ish minutes I got to spend with him was pure bliss after a long 13 hour workday today. I’ll make up my usual daily mileage before the end of the week.
