Do you ever wonder in awe at the variety of human faces out there? 2 eyes, 1 nose, 1 mouth, but I've fallen in love with the difference ways to capture such faces. Many times we come across so many people we simple pass by without a 2nd thought, however I always find myself in shocked in amazement when I come across almost every human face. My mind gets flooded with ideas of wanting to recreate it with paint. Now it might not be a face that inspires you, but maybe when you come accross a tree, and animal, or a fruit, take a moment and really stare at for what it is. How is it, though sharing the same qualities of it's counterparts, still 100% unique and original, one of a kind?

Preparing for this oil painting collection release, it's amazing the tremendous amount of work that goes into behind the scenes. Planning out your project, doing ink drawing sketch's of your model before going into an oil painting, stretching your canvas, priming your canvas with multiple layers of gesso. Staining the canvas, doing the under painting in a preplannned carefully thought out composition on the canvas. Then even beginning the pieces which can take days, weeks, or months. When I say “Chillin’ with ma Homies” this is literally what I mean. Some studio time with 2 of my 4 accidentally adopted babies. Reesie and Kona. Kona the Gray one, we were doing volunteer work driving around, and almost ran over her.....3.5 years later, never found her owners (yes authorities were called to help locate her family before becoming part of ours). Hope? 72" X 60" Oil on Canvas 2021 Part of the 'Who are you Collection' The Okapi once nicknamed the "African Unicorn" was thought to only be a myth, with the head of a deer and legs of a Zebra, it retained it's lengendary status until 1901, and further investigation revealed it to be the only living relative of the Giraffe. This painting is titled: Hope? - with a question mark. Many today can think of Hope as a mere myth, unclear to see, hidden by a mist. But the girl's experession knows better. As she looks confidently at the Okapi, knowing it's solid and real. My last post of 2020. The team at @officialsplashpods wanted to do a unique house warming gift for a very giving person @daviddobrik and collaborated with me to make a original oil painting mixed with 24K gold paint along with a pair of their very own waterproof spashpods to listen to music without the worry of them getting wet. This painting is titled: King of YouTube - A portrait of David Dobrik 2020 36 X 36 oil on canvas This was painted with @oldhollandcolours due to their extreme high quality pigment that has proved to last hundreds to at least over a thousand years due to the archival quaitlies of the oil paint. Photographs can fade in about 20 years vs paintings increase in value over time. Finding a box large enough to ship it was a challenge, so I had to use a flat screen TV box for the artwork. The emotions manifested in physical form come out as waves and surround him, somewhat under control, however emotions can grow so powerful it can engulf us by crippling our actions, and hindering our speech.
