We moved recently and I am loving our new apartment. Fresh energy, better flow, more sunshine. Ticking all the boxes! This morning as I sat with my cards tuning in, I was feeling so much excitement about teaching my polarity somatic yoga classes and polarity programs and I could really feel myself opening up my field to attract new resonant people to the school. I want to be a lighthouse but also it is a big responsibility to be so visible. I was thinking of my card pull yesterday and the wisdom of being willing to see things in a new way while being vulnerably seen. I could feel my heart opening a little more and I could feel a melting around some old frozen feelings from childhood (and probably past/parallel lives) where it really was not safe to be so visible. Do you know this one? These experiences have offered me great insight therefor compassion and have contributed to my ability to hold safe space for others so I would not trade my wounding for anything. But no matter how much work I do to heal it seems there are always new layers unfurling. My question for the deck in regards to this feeling is: What do I need to know about how to feel safe as I expand? The card I pulled is a beautiful painting of a hummingbird skeleton woman painted by @dzhanwiley. I recorded a podcast with @dzhanwiley today about our process of making this deck and how to use it. We pulled two cards each and shared our interpretations. One card was for the question: What do we need to know about sharing the deck and our process in a way that will be in our highest good as well as the highest good for whoever is listening? The card I pulled was from one of Dzhans paintings, a beautiful image of a belly with butterflies in various stages of emerging. The guidance for this card: HONORING Fold into the crevasse of your soul-wreching journey, honor the uncomfortability of disintegration, contraction. Is it possible to be deeply in love with you even if chaos is all you see? In the gentlest caressing of paintbrush to skin, you are the epiphany You are the epitome of sensuality, As you Emerge with gossamer hope-dripping wings, You reach and stretch, move and curve, accepting both your current state and the process of transforming. It happens in between breaths, wherein the quiet stillness you inhabit impossible beauty. For the second card I invited the listeners to ask the question. I asked my own but I would invite you to ask one if you'd like. Close your eyes before you read on- and focus on a question you have for your life. I dreamt this morning that I was on a school bus with a new old friend sitting behind me. His name was Glimmery which I thought was an unusual name but I remembered it in a flash when I saw him. I kept having little flashes (or glimmers)of recognition as I remembered different things about him and our time together as friends long ago- but the only memory I can recall now that Im awake was the fact that he used to work on a roller coaster. I recalled this fact when I noticed that the bus we were all on (there were no other passengers besides @dzhanwiley and Christopher (my partner) who were sitting behind Glimmery who was sitting behind me), was picking up speed as it was barreling down these steep rolling hills on a gravel road in the city with a dead end at the bottom. I was super scared but when I looked back at them, Glimmery seemed calm and alert, Christopher seemed nonchalant and Dzhans face looked super worried as she said, “I sure hope this bus is going fast enough”. At that, I woke up to the sound of my own voice moaning in fear as I was sure we were about to crash. My question for the cards today: What do I need to know about this dream and my feeling of being “out of control”? The card I pulled: RE-MEMBERING (not re-imagining) and the once again ridiculously spot on guidance for this card reads: Nothing can be destroyed not even your Self you are as much a part of the unending cycle of form and formlessness as anything. It is ok to sit still at this time. Nourish the new with the old symbiotically: body, skin, soil, roots, sinew, stone, bark, bone. Compost the past, gleaning the necessary nutrients. Nurturing your fresh alignment. Send your roots down into the womb of the underground. Feed on the fermenting memories of what was and is no longer. Let the wealth of wisdom that resides within your cells inform you as you gestate within all of your learning.
