Some of you have been asking about the Kersey I’ve been layering under my 33-T all year. Here it is in all its glory. It’s been protected by 12oz selvedge all year, so it doesn’t have as many scars as its companion, but the collar and cuffs really show what this shirt can do when pushed. On the rare days when I wear the kersey on its own, it really gets noticed—even by folks who don’t make a habit of talking with me about clothes. The Mile-High City just got a big shot in the arm when it comes to heritage menswear. Blue in Green, one of the first selvedge retailers in the US, has long been a fixture of the denim scene on the East Coast. They’ve now opened a second location in Denver, and they’re promising a return to the kind of intense focus on Japanese selvage and heritage menswear that fans of the shop will remember from the store’s earliest days in Soho.
