La justa de Giuliano de Mèdici. El 28 de gener de 1475 es va celebrar un torneig a la plaça de la Santa Croce per celebrar l'aliança entre Florència, Venècia i Milà. Giuliano de Mèdici va participar en el torneig portant un estendard que va encarregar a Botticelli amb el rostre de la seva estimada Simonetta Vespucci. L'estendard es va perdre però van trobar un cartó amb el dibuix del qual van fer un tapis que dona una idea de com devia ser l'original. "Les tribunes es van aixecar per lloar el petit dels Mèdici. Giuliano va sortir del camp de batalla amb el braç dret damunt l’espatlla adolorida, va dirigir-se a la llotja i va aturar-se davant de Simonetta. L’armadura de plata de Verrochio, tot i les envestides dels contrincants, encara lluïa poderosa. Va treure’s el casc deixant el seu bell rostre al descobert, va pentinar-se els cabells i, amb un somriure, li va oferir la corona que la proclamava reina del torneig. Simonetta va mirar-lo als ulls abans d’inclinar el cap, un escalf li va pujar des del ventre. Recently, I was inspired by Sandro Botticelli's painting, "Primavera". The composition, themes, and symbols captivated me, leading me to attempt in adding my own personal twist to it. Spring is a season that always brings me joy—it feels as though, in a very short time, my mood completely transforms and everything becomes more delightful. I still vividly recall my first experience of spring after moving from Brazil. In Brazil, we don't have harsh winters, so the transition from winter to spring isn't very noticeable and doesn't usually evoke strong emotions. However, my first spring in Germany was a different story. I had never felt so eager to go outside and enjoy the sun, the breeze, and the sight of plants blooming everywhere after enduring such prolonged darkness. There were soooo many people. I had to work hard to get these photos but got a lot of compliments for my outfit lol! Also a huge thank you to my man & a super nice girl that offered to take the first pic of me. Trust me y’all it’s a miracle I got these pictures as a forever memory. Also the whole Boticcelli part was gorgeous but so full unfortunately. Sandro Botticelli'nin "Primavera" adlı tablosu, bahar mevsiminin ünlü ve esrarengiz bir alegorisidir. Eserde, dokuz mitolojik figür, Medici ailesine atıfta bulunan bir portakal bahçesinde yer alır ve çevrelerinde yüzlerce çeşit bitki çiçek açar. Tablo, belirli bir hikayeden ziyade, klasik ve Rönesans dönemi şiirleri ve edebiyatına (Ovidius, Lucretius ve diğerleri) birçok atıfta bulunur. Botticelli'nin eseri ne zaman yaptığı kesin olarak bilinmemekle birlikte, 1470'lerin sonları veya 1480'lerin başları olduğu düşünülmektedir. Birçok kişiye göre, Medici ailesi tarafından Lorenzo di Pierfrancesco de’ Medici ve Semiramide Appiano'nun 1482'deki düğünü şerefine hediye olarak sipariş edilmiş. Tabloya "Bahar" adını ise, yaratılışından yaklaşık 70 yıl sonra eseri gören Giorgio Vasari vermiştir. Tablonun yorumu genellikle sağdan sola doğru yapılır: Mart ayının soğuk rüzgarı olan Zephyrus'un, perisi Chloris'i kaçırması ve sonrasında onun bahar tanrıçası Flora'ya dönüşmesi işlenmiştir. Merkezde, Venüs ve üstünde gözleri bağlı Cupid yer alır. Tablonun sol tarafında ise Merkür, yazın gelmesi için soğukları dağıtmak üzere asasını kaldırmıştır.
