Big shout out to all the graduates 🎓 Congrats. This is my graduation Pic class of "1996" How bizarre lost all my hair ..I had the best hair in high-school..everyone loved it..so much gel and hairspray like slick 50 👌🤣 Anyone touched it they were in trouble lol I missed 78 days my senior year lol, going to the beach etc ⛱️ .Had to go to summer school to graduate . I then went to college, I hold an associates degree in criminal justice, made the deans list . Started my own business, been self employed for over 20 years . I worked hard and now I have fun . My advice to the young, the trades are where it's at, college is very overrated. Work hard you'll succeed like me . I will never steere you wrong ,👊🇺🇸🇮🇹. . . . . . . Mentre mi guardo intorno per fare qualche scatto del paesino prima di tornare verso casa, la noto. Mi osserva mentre punto l'obiettivo in quella che sembra la sua direzione e io, senza pensarci, mi avvicino e le chiedo se posso farle una foto insieme al suo cane. Lei accetta subito e senza neanche rendercene conto ci ritroviamo sulla panchina a parlare di vita e di amore. Scopro in Laura una grande viaggiatrice, una mente brillante con un'apertura verso il nuovo che trovo solo nelle persone che hanno capito che alla fine è tutto qui, senza rapporti umani non siamo nulla. This may or may not be controversial. What do y’all think? I don’t think that photographers should be required to heavily retouch their images to the point where the people on the other side of the camera don't look like their skin has any imperfections. Go with me for a second here… (BTW, the students in these pictures are either wearing makeup or I took out blemishes but either way they look like themselves.) I LOVE what my fellow photographers and photo editors create with portraits when it comes to retouching regardless of how far they go with retouching. Again, we are artists and editing images is part of that process. It is MY firm belief, however, that people should look like people. I've been told by some fellow photogs that if the client says to remove all imperfections and shave down body parts then you must, but I don't agree. With that said, this is NOT to say that I don’t retouch photos because I absolutely do, especially with teens. (The struggle is REAL for y’all and I know you’re going THROUGH it.) I KEEP the permanent and REMOVE the temporary. I’m taking out the blemishes, but I’m leaving the freckles, moles, and beauty marks. I don’t shave down body parts but I’m going to pose you in a way during our session that makes you feel and look great. You should look like YOU AND be able to look at your photo and not feel like you have to strive to look like how you look in a photo against how you look in real life. I don’t believe it’s fair to you and I’m not about that life. Again, that’s just me. What do you all think?
