Mondays storm chase. It was the perfect chase day. I didn’t get stuck in chaser traffic and saw a few brief tornadoes. I was able to be on every tornado warned storm except for 3. However, it’s not a day of “fun” because people’s lives are always being lifted upside down. While storms are beautiful they can be deadly. I’m trying to commit (I have issues in this area of starting things and failing to finish! Or move on prematurely 😮‍💨😂🙏🏽) to posting Mondays and Wednesdays but yesterday was just too good not to share what the Lord pressed upon my heart. ❤️ Yesterday, here in Evansville, we were told of really bad storms! So bad, they let the kids out early. So, here I am preparing too! I got 7 fur babies sooooo…we be having ALL the extra stuff to do! 😮‍💨😂 It rained. Thundered. Sirens went off. Buuuuuut! Nothing I thought was outrageous. It was a normal storm. Often times We feel things on the horizon. We prepare for the worst. We scare ourselves and filled with anxiety before the encounter! 🫣🙋🏽‍♀️ But guess what? It’s not that bad. You know why? Because of Jesus! Because of His strength! It’s gonna hurt. You will feel the weight of it. The sirens will blare. The winds will blow. But. It’s simply not that bad. It’s a set up to coward down in a moment in time you’re called to be MOST brave! Having the ability to tap into THAT kinda STRENGTH is a gift. It’s a treasure and it should be seen as valuable to the believer; never taken for granted! I was reminded of Jesus on the boat knocked CLEAN OUT! The disciples on the boat; stressed out…with the One they’ve seen perform miracles before. But why was THIS encounter any different. My observation would simply be because Jesus was sleep. Cause clearly if they felt the waves beating against them they just KNEW Jesus did yet….He was sleep. Jesus is aware. He isn’t absent of what you’re getting ready to encounter. He’s actually in it with you. And waiting for you to realize your Strength is with you. It’s bad. But not that bad. It’s hard. But not that hard….Because Jesus is with you! Great oaks. There are several different species. Some live 50-300 years. What determines its life span? How deep and wide its roots system grows. Exposed to enough elements; I’m sure the stronger its able to stand. I know the Lord has allowed me to encounter certain oppositions in life to grow my root system. I know it don’t feel good; but could the Lord be doing the same for you?

The National Weather Service confirmed an EF1 tornado with 110 mph winds caused widespread damage in Cleveland and Gaston counties during Wednesday's severe weather outbreak. The tornado was approximately 100 yards wide, taking down trees along its path and causing damage to homes. The tornado's path stretched 22 miles from Polkville in Cleveland County to southeast of Cherryville in Gaston County. One person was killed in Gaston County when a tree fell on a car. Firefighters were able to rescue another person from the vehicle and they were taken to the hospital. Gaston County commissioners declared a state of emergency due to widespread damage caused by Wednesday's severe thunderstorms.
